Start your day with a stunning 4-minute ride up through native forest on NZ’s only alpine funicular railway. Our 175 ha ski area is accessed by 5 rope tows with a vertical rise of 500m. Spend the day exploring the rolling bowls and chutes of Broken River and Allan’s Basin. Take the Ridge Tow to Allan’s Basin for great powder runs and backcountry atmosphere. (One run is never enough!) You’ll enjoy a break in the sun on the massive Palmer Lodge deck. Complete your snow adventure with a stay in one of our cosy on-mountain lodges, just 10 minutes walk from the tows. Our three tree-line lodges have fantastic views. No need for a daily commute and you’re in the prime spot for early morning fresh tracks. Catered and self-catered accommodation options are available.
